About the Club

Daleview Clean Up Days: Join us every spring and see the transformation! Members who put sweat equity into cleaning the pool actually take better care of the facility during the season. This isn’t just a good thing for the adults, but also our young members who come out with their families to volunteer. SSL hours available for middle and high school students.

Swim Lessons: Check the binder at the front desk to identify those offering swim lessons.

Welcome New Members During Happy Hour: We welcome our new members on a Friday in early June in the baby pool area. Returning members are asked to bring an appetizer to share. Drinks provided by the Daleview Board.

Summer Cookouts: Beat the heat and celebrate summer holidays at the pool. On Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day, the swim team will host a cookout. All proceeds benefit the “Feet” swim team!

Kid’s Night: This fun filled event is hosted by the swim team and open to all children ages 2-12 of Daleview. Older kids are encouraged to help with activities.

Takoma Park 4th of July Parade: What a better way to celebrate Independence Day than with a parade! All members are welcome to walk in the parade, but we need a volunteer to coordinate the fun event. Please contact the Daleview Board at daleviewpool@gmail.com to volunteer.

Crab Feast: Our mid-July annual adults-only party features great food as well as dancing and swimming under the stars.

Movie Nights, Pizza & Bingo Nights: What a better way to spend hot August nights than at Daleview? Enjoy a kid-friendly film on our GIANT screen, along with all the theater extras…popcorn and treats. Volunteer Coordinators Needed!

Daleview Campout: Not ready for summer to end? Extend the summer fun at our campout in early June and again in late August! Camping under the summer stars on the grounds of the pool, swimming way past dark, ice cream sandwiches, s’mores…What a fabulous way to end summer! See pool board notices for exact dates. Volunteer Coordinators Needed!

Labor Day Brownie Bake-Off, Raft Race and Copeland IM: Say good-bye to summer and Daleview friends with one last hurrah! Beginning at noon, parents of pre-team and 10 and under parents grill up summer fare one last time. Immediately following is the Brownie Bake Off. All young chefs are encouraged to bring their version of a brownie for bragging rights for the most favorite baked treat. Plan to burn off those calories by participating in one or both races. The raft race includes creative rafts propelled by our youth. The Copeland 100 IM is open to any and all swimmers, regardless of age. Teams of four swim a total of four lengths of the pool, one of each stroke. Participate or cheer on your favorite team! Lap and recreation swimming will temporarily be put on hold for these races.

Adult Swim Programs: Join Master’s swimming or Water Aerobics for great workouts while the pool is in season.

Winter Swim Programs: Just because the weather turns cold doesn’t mean we stop swimming! From October to May, the young and the young-at-heart may elect to participate in Stroke and Turn practice as well as Master’s Swim. Registration begins at the end of each summer season.

Camp Daleview: Fun at the pool for Daleview members, aged 6-12. Campers enjoy daily activities including games, swimming, sports, arts and crafts, friends and fun!
